Bologna process in Ukraine

One of the major spheres of development of Euro integration is the sphere of higher education where it has got forms Bologna process. For today 45 European countries, inclusive with Ukraine, are its participants. Besides a significant amount international the organizations support ideas of process and its realizations promote.

Bologna Process (BP) is a process of the European reforms, that process is directed on creation of the general Zone of the European higher education till 2010. Bologna Process has officially begun in 1999 from signing of the Bologna declaration. The precondition of its creation became signing the Big Charter of the European universities (Magna Charta Universitatum). 
According to with purposes of BP till 2010 educational systems of the countries-participants of the Bologna Process should be are changed to promote:

• To the facilitated crossing citizens with the purpose of the subsequent study or employment in the Zone of the European higher education;
•  To growth of appeal of the European higher education;
•  To expansion of the Europe and maintenance of its subsequent development as stable, peace, tolerant society.

It is necessary to note, that BP does not provide creating completely identical education systems in the different countries, it is intended only for strengthening interrelations and improvement of mutual understanding between different educational systems.

On May, 19th, 2005 in the Norwegian city of Bergen at Conference of ministers of the countries of the Europe Ukraine has joined to Bologna Process, having undertaken to bring respective alteration in a national education system and to join work above definition of priorities during creation of unique European space of higher education till 2010.
