Department of Ecology and Healthcare

 

 The staff of the Department of Ecology and Healthcare of WUNU trains specialists in the following educational programs:

 -  Agronomy;

 -  Ecological Safety and Environmental Protection.


During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: Fundamentals of Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture and Basics of Herbology, Phytopathology, Agrochemistry and Plant Nutrition, Agropharmacology, Integrated Protection, Organic Farming, World Agrotechnologies, Methods and Tools of Ecological Diagnostics, Geoecology, Urban Ecology, Ecological Safety, Economics of Environmental Management, Geoinformation Systems and Technologies, Ecological Rationing and Standardization, Environmental Management.


After graduating from the Department, graduates can hold the following positions: agronomist, agrotechnician, agrochemist, agronomist for seed production and plant protection, agricultural expert, agronomist-technologist for plant production processing, inspector of phytosanitary control service, head of the laboratory of soil monitoring and plant production quality, head of agricultural enterprise, environmental manager at the enterprise, engineer for technogenic and ecological safety, specialist in industrial and environmental safety, environmental auditor, inspector of nature protection, specialist of the environmental control department, environmental technologist in modeling of ecological systems, specialist in nature management.


The department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: State Ecological Inspectorate, Departments of Ecology and Natural Resources, research institutions, farms, where students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, and gain employment.


The department develops international cooperation with foreign partners: University of Agriculture in Krakow (Republic of Poland); The State School of Higher Education in Zamość (Republic of Poland) where students have the opportunity to undergo semester training and internship.
