About the Department

  

The missionof the department is to train highly qualified specialists for state and local self-governments, enterprises, institutions and organizations of different forms of property that can ensure their long-term development in a competitive environment.

 

This mission is implemented due to:

- highly skilled teaching staff;

- modern teaching methods using computer and multimedia technologies;

- partnerships with state authorities and local self-government bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations of different forms of ownership;

- adaptation to the requirements of external educational curricula environment;

- consulting services for business structures;

- foreign internships for the teaching staff and master’s students.

 

Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Mykhailo Shkilniak, heads the department. Today, the research and teaching staff of the Department includes 31 employees, among them - 5 Doctors of Economic Sciences, 2 Doctors of Sciences in Public Administration.

 

Training opportunities:

- to gain solid knowledge in the field of management of the national economy, ensuring its balanced development;

- to acquire professional skills of evaluating the economic potential structure;

- to analyze the institutional structure of the national economy; to calculate the integral indicators of the national economy and its institutional sectors;

- to use the technologies of implementing the economic policy tools in the national economy;

- to increase the expert potential on the issues of development and implementation of national economy management tools for its structural improvement;

- to enhance job positions mobility in the development of proposals for normative draft acts related to the modernization of the state's economic policy;

- to form a modern type of creative economic thinking in identifying and levelling the problems of the national economy on mega-economic, macroeconomic, macrostructural, regional and local levels;

- to take an active part in seminars, round tables, international conferences on the issues of management and national economy management.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Management and Public Administration of TNEU implements international cooperation with the Wroclaw Economic University and the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Republic of Poland).

The main directions of international cooperation within the framework of the signed agreements are:

- a week-long foreign training of the TNEU staff and students of the Master's programme "Public Administration" (Public Service) in Poland to study modern technologies of municipal management;

- organization of trainship for students of the Wroclaw Economic University (Poland) in Ukraine to study the mechanism of territorial management;

- joint scientific events within the framework of the Regional and Municipal Readings;

- participation of the teaching staff in the annual international scientific conferences Local and Regional Economics in Theory and Practice on the basis of the Wroclaw Economic University and the International scientific and practical conference at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin;

- open lectures conducted by the professors of the Department of Management and Public Administration for students of the Wroclaw Economic University;

- publication of the results of joint research in the field of public administration, local self-government and administrative management.
