Young Scientists Board of TNEU is a youth organization that brings together postgraduate students and young professors of the University, created with the aim of activating and coordinating research on the basis of voluntary participation and common interests of scientific interests.
Young Scientists Board was founded in 1996. The first head was Andriy Krysovatyy, now Rector of TNEU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor. The purpose of the Board was to organize a solid platform for the development of young science in Ternopil. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Department of State and Municipal Management Hryhorii Monastyrskyi, headed the Young Scientists Board from July 2004 to May 2013. Since May 2013, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Taxes and Fiscal Policy Taras Marshalok, heads the Board. There are 35 young scientists on the Board, among them 24 Candidates of Sciences.
The main practical activities of the young scientists are: conducting youth scientific-practical conferences; organising round tables; publishing collections of scientific works of young scientists; coordinating the development of youth science at the university; establishing links between youth research universities.
The objectives of the Young Scientists Board of TNEU:
1. Activating the professional growth of young scientists, combining their efforts to solve topical scientific issues and addressing priority research objectives.
2. Support and development of scientific initiatives of young scientists focused on their qualification development and consolidation in university divisions.
3. Development of international, domestic scientific and cultural ties with the participation of young university scientists.
4. Organization and coordination of scientific and social activities of young scientists, post-graduate students and doctoral students of the University.
5. Participation in solving personnel, scientific, organizational and other problems of young university scientists.
6. Representation, protection and realization of professional, social and everyday interests and rights of scientific youth in the Academic Board of the University.
7. Wide coverage of research results of young scientists and facilitation of their implementation into practice.
8. Increased efficiency and mass participation of young scientists and students in research work, in organizing and conducting conferences, seminars, competitions.
The achievements of the Young Scientists Board demonstrate results and effectiveness of its activity.
The central event of the Board is the annual international scientific conference of young scientists "Economic and social development of Ukraine: national identity and globalization trends". Its goal is to establish inter-state and inter-regional youth scientific contacts in the context of providing state unity, developing practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of the socio-economic systems at all hierarchical levels in the conditions of market transformation, globalization and European integration.
The Young Scientists Board is the organizer of the annual General Student Scientific Conference: "Research work of students: formation of the personality of a future scientist, a highly qualified specialist", the results of which are summarized in a collection of abstracts.
On the initiative of the Young Scientists Board, since 2005, annually there are round tables on the topic "Organization of the young scientists’ activities and ways of stimulating the scientific work of students at higher educational institutions", "Development of student science in Ternopil".
Young university scientists annually celebrate the Day of Science in Ukraine and the Days of Europe in Ukraine.
The University became the first higher education institution in Ukraine with its own periodical professional youth scientific publication. The Young Scientists Board is the founder of the Collected Works of Young Scientists of TNEU "Nauka Moloda", which includes the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine in the list of professional publications on economics.
The Young Scientists Board coordinates the activities of the Student Scientific Society of TNEU, contributes to the publication of the Bulletin of the Student Scientific Society.
One of the activities of the Board is the establishment of scientific relations with other higher educational institutions on the basis of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of youth research. The Board cooperates with youth scientific organizations of Donetsk National University, Kyiv National Economic University, Kyiv National Trade and Economic University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Kharkiv National University. Karazin, Khmelnytsky National University, Lviv Commercial Academy, Russian Peoples Friendship University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance (Russia) and Wroclaw Academy of Economics (Poland). In 2003, the Young Scientists Board acted as co-organizer of the International Youth Economic Forum held at the Kyiv National Economic University. In May 2005, the activity of the Young Scientists Board was presented at the First All-Ukrainian Forum of Student Scientific Organizations, which was held at the Karazin Kharkiv National University, in which 43 youth scientific organizations of Ukraine took part. A Framework Agreement on Cooperation with the European Education Foundation (Poland) and the Foundation for Environmental Education (Poland) have been concluded.
Twice a year the Board conducts the International scientific and practical Internet conference "Socio-economic prospects of development of Ukraine in the XXI century", accessible at www.iconf.org.ua. The conference is regularly attended by scientists, post-graduates, graduates, students, representatives of state authorities and local self-government, research and design organizations, banks, commercial companies and other organizations whose activities are related to the topics of the conference.
On November 1, 2013, in order to develop the intellectual, creative, scientific abilities of young people and to promote partnerships between young teachers and students, the Young Scientists Board, in cooperation with the Student Scientific Society, launched the scientific quest "Labyrinths of Economic Theory". The quest was attended by students from ten faculties and their teachers. All quest tasks were related to economic theory.
An important step in the development of international scientific relations was the 2014 Ukrainian-Bulgarian Forum of Young Scientists-Economists "European Choice of Ukraine: Social and Economic Dimensions".
The Young Scientists Board of TNEU promotes scientific and professional development of young scientists, as well as coordinates their activities aimed at the development of scientific initiatives and the consolidation of young staff at the university.
The Young Scientists Board of the Ternopil National Economic University has become an undeniable and active participant in the implementation of the scientific research programmes, the subject of ensuring the high scientific image of the University, the place of nurturing future doctoral sciences. The key to its successful functioning is the strong support from the university leadership.
