TNEU students are studying at the University of Nord (Kingdom of Norway) during the second semester of 2019-2020 as part of the Erasmus+ programme. They have shared their impressions of the experience so far.

“We were welcomed at the local airport and taken to our new homes. It was immediately clear that we had arrived at the northern circle, since at 15.00 it was as dark as if it was already 9pm. As we have opted for accommodation near the university, the main building is only a 15-minute walk on foot. But, during these few minutes, there's enough time for you to walk in the rain, in the snow, or be blown away by a strong north wind. Only mountains, rivers and cozy red houses are around you. There is something magical to it.

The subjects we study are related to the public sector economy: internal control and risk management, accounting and reporting according to IPSAS, public sector performance assessment and international governance and business in the North. The learning process is much different from what we are used to - here they focus on self-study, and lectures on any given subject can be conducted 4 times a month, or even less frequently. It is worth noting that the whole process s digitalized - no printed abstracts or lectures - everything is available online on a special university platform. The lectures are delivered by invited foreign theorists and practitioners, which is even more striking, since 5-10 people can lead one course. The experiences so far have been incredible - everyone here is kind and happy to help. A cool adventure for life and self-development”.
