ІІ International Interdisciplinary Winter School "Poland - Ukraine 2020"

 Internationalization of the educational process is a development strategy priority of Ternopil National Economic University. The Department of Management, Public Administration and Personnel (Faculty of Economics and Management), continuing the long-standing cooperation with the Wroclaw University of Economics, helped organize the II International Multidisciplinary Winter School "Poland-Ukraine 2020", held in the town of Jelenia Gora (Republic of Poland).


TNEU faculty and students in Management, Public Administration and Administration and Entrepreneurship, Commerce and Stock Exchange, Analytical Economics, Social Work, and Law have undergone a week-long internship to improve their professional competencies and gain additional soft skills.


Ukrainian coordinator of the Winter School was D. Sc., Prof. Hryhorii Monastyskyi, while Dr. hab., Prof. Annetta Zielinska was the coordinator from the Polish partners.


The agenda was extremely busy. The TNEU delegation gained invaluable experience in communicating with the teaching staff of the Wroclaw University of Economics and the educational institutions of Jelenia Góra, the heads of enterprises, officials of public administration bodies and Polish students. In particular, some of the events were:

- a press conference with Deputy Mayor of Jelenia Góra, management and specialists of executive departments of Jelenia Góra City Council on their experience of municipal administration and implementation of innovative technologies of municipal management;

- training on strategic management of the communal cultural institutions development on the basis of a student virtual consulting firm of the Wroclaw University of Economics;

- master classes in robotics and pedagogical skills, sports competitions;

- Polish language intensive courses and laboratory work on souvenir production;

- an interactive discussion of Ukrainian and Polish students about the common traits and differences of youth of the two countries;

- workshop on culinary arts and personal image creation;

- study of innovative technologies of rendering services by the utility company "Greenhouse Terme";

- on-site practical study of the practice of successful municipal management on the example of one of the most economically powerful united territorial communities of Poland - Gmina Community of Boleslawiec County of Lower Silesian Voivodeship.


All participants were awarded certificates.
