Lecture by a Polish Supreme Court Justice for students of the School of Polish and European Law

 On the 23rd and 25th of May, a series of lectures titled “Legal aid in Poland. Judicial system in Poland and EU countries" was organized for students of the School of Polish and European Law. The lectures were conducted by the judge of the Supreme Court of Poland, Professor of the University of Warsaw Adam Redzik.


The classes focused on the discussion of judicial reform in Poland, the administration of justice in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mechanism of ensuring the principle of proportionality when balancing the need to restrict human rights to ensure public and national security and the protection of the rights and interests of the public, as well as the mission of the European Court of Human Rights in today's world. The lecturer focused on the problematic aspects of the activities of the bar in Poland and the EU, the feasibility of establishing a division of human rights defenders in Poland into lawyers and legal advisers.
