The Lutsk branch started its activity as a structural subdivision of Ternopil National Economic University in 1999. The training in the Lutsk branch is conducted exclusively by extramural mode of study, which allows young employed people to obtain high-quality higher education without interruptions from their work.

Lutsk branch prepares highly qualified Bachelors and Specialists in educational programmes "Finance, Banking and Insurance" and "Accounting and Taxation". Students with a Junior Specialist's degree can obtain a Bachelor's degree over a shorter term of study.

Since 2014, the branch has been implementing the training of specialists via the program of two diplomas (Ukraine-Poland), according to which students receive the diploma of a state standard (Ternopil National Economic University) and a partner educational institution (Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Papieża Jana Pawła II w Białej Podlaskiej).

The educational process in the Lutsk branch is carried out by the Faculties of Finance, Accounting and Audit, and Banking of TNEU, in accordance with the approved curricula and programs for the respective areas of training (specialties). All the teachers involved in providing the educational process of the branch have academic degrees and academic titles, considerable work experience both in higher educational institutions and in practice. Wide introduction of the newest educational technologies to the educational process ensures training of specialists fully meets the requirements of the National Higher School and European standards.

The educational process is carried out within the leased premises of the Training and Methodological Center of Trade Unions of the Volyn Oblast, which include comfortable classrooms for conducting all types of classes, a modern computer class with connection to the Internet, a library (the total fund of textbooks and teaching aids is about 10 thousand copies) and office premises.

Over the period of the Lutsk branch functioning, more than 5 thousand specialists of various educational-qualification levels were trained. Today they successfully work at state authorities and local self-government bodies, regional entrepreneurial offices at different positions. Lutsk branch of TNEU has a well-developed image of an educational institution with many years of experience in preparing economists in a wide range of specialties, provided by a highly skilled teaching staff and appropriate material and technical base on the regional market of educational services. To a large extent, this contributes to the high economic potential of Volyn, which, combined with favorable geographical location, creates favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in the region, as well as the establishment of effective foreign economic relations.
