About the Programme
TNEU and the Technological Educational Institute of West Macedonia (Project Coordinator), successfully completed the Tempus project CD-JEP-24244-2003 "European Standards for the Training of Economists in International Tourism" in 2004-2007. In line with the Bologna process principles and in order to continue cooperation, two universities signed an agreement on joint training of Masters in Business Administration in Greece, starting with the 2008/2009 academic year on the basis of the Greek educational institution, and in the programme accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian-Greek programme "Master of Business Administration" (UGPMBA) operates at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Economic Relations of TNEU. Within the framework of the programme, the teaching staff conducts joint training of specialists with the Technological Educational Institute of West Macedonia. Teaching students is also conducted at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between TNEU and the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia (Greece), the educational process is conducted according to the curriculum and programmes of TNEU, involving the teaching staff of the Ukrainian and Greek parties. The Greek side provides students and faculty members with access to the necessary teaching materials, computer and other equipment, communications and allocates office space.
The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece, which determines the recognition of the TNEU Diploma in Greece and the European Union, accredited the programme. The graduating departments are the Department of International Economics of TNEU and the Department of International Trade of the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. The teachers of TNEU and the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia conduct the teaching process in English. The program operates under the conditions of a minimum set of 25 students, and the maximum number of 40 students. The duration of the Master's programme is 2 academic years. The total possible duration of the program should not be more than 3 years, as students have the right to postpone a maximum of 1 year.
In 2010, within the framework of the Ukrainian-Greek programme, the first class of Masters, who entered the programme in 2008-2009, graduated. The results of the defence of the Master's theses have demonstraated a sufficiently high level of theoretical and professional training of students. In total, about 100 master's degree papers were submitted for defence. All works have received a positive evaluation.
The implementation of the program aims at TNEU's entry into the European market of educational services, recognition of the Ukrainian diploma in developed European countries, enhancing the image of TNEU among Greek employers, and through them throughout the European Union, stimulating the development of TNEU professorial staff and increasing its competitiveness.
1. Memorandum of Understanding between Ternopil National Economic University and the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. Signed on June 27, 2007. According to the terms of this agreement the 2008-2009 class of masters was admitted.
2. Memorandum of Understanding between Ternopil National Economic University and the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. Signed on October 10, 2009. According to the terms of this agreement the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 classes of masters were admitted.

4. Executive Programme #1 to the Memorandum on International Cooperation between the Ternopil National Economic University (Ternopil, Ukraine) and the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia (Kozani, Greece). Signed on April 02, 2014. According to the Executive Programme #1, a mutual student exchange programme is implemented.
